My recent stay at Azumino Ikeda Guesthouse was a delightful retreat in the heart of Japan's stunning countryside. The warm hospitality of Taka san and Sachi san truly made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Their kind gestures, like offering homemade curry and daily fruits and tea, added an extra layer of comfort to my stay.The guesthouse itself was spotlessly clean and exuded a cozy, homely atmosphere that set it apart from other accommodations I've visited. The well-equipped kitchen and comfortable mattresses ensured a restful night's sleep after a long journey, and the beautiful view of the Japanese Alps from the common area and terrace was a sight to behold.One of the highlights of my stay was the availability of free bicycles, allowing me the freedom to explore the surrounding area at my own pace. The property offers a convenient free shuttle service, making it easy to access the nearby attractions such as the Alps Azumino National Government Park and Matsumoto.Taka san's knowledge of the area was invaluable in planning my daily excursions, and his willingness to go the extra mile for guests, like providing a free shuttle to the train station, truly showcased his and Sachi san's genuine hospitality. I left the guesthouse feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the warm welcome and comfortable stay, already looking forward to my next visit to this hidden gem in the Japanese countryside.
